"HOW TO" CLASS #1

This Monday we spent two hours in a How to Take Care of Baby's Needs type class. We learned about items related to car seats, diapering, fever checks, head warming, not shaking baby, and after labor logistics in regard to baby care. It was actually quite good, even though both of us said we have new appreciation for the Expectant parent books as much of the info was review. We were issued a doll and did a little diapering practice. It was Michael's first diaper change ever and he feels relieved and optimistic. Tricia comments that to be realistic he needs to practice on a squirming, squirting, smelly doll, which is a good point. We both left feeling simultaneously more comfortable and more panicked.

And speaking of panicked, this Sunday we'll be attending a 2nd class on the actual labor prep stuff.
